One Month for Our Future

A RestorFX Social Media Initiative

The past few weeks have brought about some of the most unique social and economic challenges that our generation has ever seen—businesses needing to shut down across entire countries, and people staying home to avoid physical proximity with other than immediate family. The pressing situation, however necessary, feels very much uncharted.

Still, hope remains in both the present as well as the past—from the present in the form of many of you: incredible RestorFX family members reaching out to one another to provide support and sound connection at a time when both seem far removed from daily life; and from the past in the form of history’s many accounts of beating calamitous health and economic events. The anchored human spirit is always powerful to produce a return to health, economic growth and opportunity for those who are prepared to thrive on the challenge.

How Do We Prepare to Thrive?

Over the past year alone, eyes are being opened to the value RestorFX delivers as a pillar of the rapidly growing reconditioning and SMART Repair industry. This growing momentum has begun to distinguish RestorFX as a recognizable force within the industry.

With every difficulty, a select few always rise to the situation, see through the chaos, resist the urge to sit back and spectate, and open-handedly frame the challenge as an opportunity. In times of crisis when lack of control is confounding, waiting it out is the default. This inaction allows the proactive—those who prepare and act beforehand—to stand out and empathetically position themselves for success when the light finally emerges at the end of the tunnel. And it will.

So how do we sensibly position our businesses and brand to strongly resume at the eventual end of this adversity?

With more eyes online and on social media due to the recent collective physical distancing, an unexpected opportunity to produce a wave of relevant content has come up. While it is important to stay properly informed, people could also very well use a respite from all the unnecessary noise around the COVID-19 difficulty.

Enter One Month for Our Future.

Just as we invest one hour per month in our businesses with the One Hour for Our Future monthly webinars, now is the time to invest one month for our collective future.

We see an opportunity in all this unfavorability for every RestorFX partner location and the brand itself—an opportunity to benefit the community while strengthening our online presence; an opportunity to build value into people’s lives by giving them amazing technology, a jaw-dropping service and infusing life into individuals, teams and businesses at a time when they need it most—and giving them a lot of it.

Imagine all the heroes of your community being highlighted by this initiative. Imagine local business getting a well-deserved nod and push to make the best of the situation. Imagine building strength into others while your existing partners, client bases and potential clients get immersed in the same activity. They start to get into the same groove and you end up strengthening your RestorFX presence while you invest in strengthening your community!

Each of us already help each other with our current online posts—someone in France may be searching for information about RestorFX online and see a great post from Toronto, Ontario in Canada then decide to get their car done, or vice versa. We lift all of our Centers collectively when we do a good job of representing the brand online. What if—with everyone at home looking for something worthwhile online; with some overworked sectors of society that very much deserve to be honored; with most businesses struggling to figure their way our during this time—what if every RestorFX location made 1 post per day for 30 days: 30 posts per location from every location across 45 countries? Think about the wave of this sheer magnitude would create, the value it will give to those who need it most, and the opportunity it would foster as we collectively weather this phenomenon and emerge strong from this situation—not just us strengthened but more importantly those around us.

    Make 1 social media post per day, for a total of 30 posts per Center for the month

    Instagram, Facebook, Twitter

  • How

    Using the 3 social media platforms above (and any others your business may normally use), make 1 post per day using your RestorFX and ClearFX business (fully keeping in mind our social media guidelines and best practices). Below you will find a list of category suggestions for posts as well as a variety of example posts to get you thinking in the right direction. Make sure to copy in the hashtags provided below along with any you may normally use for your business.

    Note: Buffer and Hootsuite are online applications that can help streamline your postings.*

  • Weekly Updates

    Starting April 8th, we will give you weekly updates every Wednesday on any interesting activity, featured posts, or others about the initiative.

  • Prizes

    The Grand Prize really goes to our community that we get to build up during this time. Each one of us running a RestorFX Center will also partake of this prize as our collective online presence will be so built up, it will create momentum that will last each location worldwide for a long time.

    In addition, at the end of 30 days, every location that meets the 30 total posts for the month will be entered into a drawing to win a one-time $2,500.00 USD digital marketing package to help kickstart their business even futher! This package includes the development of a digital marketing plan for the Center and regional demographic, created and implemented by an official marketing company partnered with RestorFX, as well as $750.00 USD towards direct online advertising spends.**

The Kick-Off

On day one, April 1st, everyone will begin by reposting the launch post by RestorFX International below. Repost this on April 1st your time:

Suggested Post Categories

  1. Highlight local heroes doing a phenomenal job to help their community during this time
  2. Highlight local businesses doing a phenomenal job to help their community during this time
  3. Offer some promotions and/or incentives for these local heroes and businesses to get their cars done
  4. Offer some promotions and/or incentives for people to get their cars done during this time
  5. Show these local heroes, local businesses and people what you can do for their cars, like:
    1. Before and after pictures
    2. Before and after videos
    3. Mention the Numbers products
    4. Explain the ClearFX technology
    5. Show each individual ClearFX product/service
    6. Explain the RestorFX technology
    7. Show each individual RestorFX product/service
    8. Your personal story with RestorFX as your own business
    9. Pictures at/of your Center
    10. Programs like ClearFX Royal
    11. Sharing a review from a retail client
    12. Sharing a review from a wholesale client
    13. Show your community how you’d like to help them the way RestorFX has been instrumental to your business or personal story

These categories are suggestions to get you thinking. Keep each post simple and focused; this way you leave more opportunity for future posts. For example, for one day you may choose to do a post about what the RestorFX technology can do for your local hero. Rather than trying to do it in just one post, you could perhaps spread it out to 3 days, each with a different value that you can give them using the RestorFX technology, and how they can take advantage of it with your promotion. Now you have taken one idea and turned it into your 3 posts for 3 days!

Feel free to recycle images used in previous posts when needed, and even share posts from other Centers as some of your posts during the course of the month.

Just remember—as always, never show any application videos and keep these posts to RestorFX services and themes. Don’t include posts (for this initiative) that have nothing to do with RestorFX (like your dog or your cat, unless the dog is at your Center working with customers!).

  • Additional services for free for our delivery guys in the community
  • Additional free services for our first responders
  • Free restoration for 1 emergency vehicle
  • 50% discount on restoration of a delivery vehicle
  • Photos of your team with a “thank you” to the community
  • Thanking local dealerships/important customers
  • Talk about challenges you overcame over the years and how others can use these solutions to help their current challenges
  • Talk about why people need to get involved with RestorFX and how they can join you not just make a business for yourself but positively impact your community as well
  • Encourage local dealerships/other businesses that you work within your local market
  • Encourage fellow businesses that they can weather this situation too
  • Appreciate local essential services staying open so we can all continue to live with a semblance of normalcy
  • Highlight your team members especially as you band together during this time
  • A write up/thank you about another Center or person (who is part of the RestorFX Family) that helped you at some point
  • Other ways you can show the impact you can make in others by giving them an idea of how RestorFX has had an impact on you:
    • Your favorite car that you restored with RestorFX
    • How many cars you restored with RestorFX in 2019
    • Interesting/random statistics about the automotive industry that are beneficial to the community
    • A cool fact about your Center
    • Any video clips you have working in your Center or talking to customers
    • The first RestorFX vehicle you did
    • Talk about what you love about RestorFX
    • Talk about your goals for 2020 and/or the next 5 years; talk about your vision
